'Ashamed' of Getting Bush into the Guard
Ben Barnes, the former Lieutenant Governor of Texas, has finally spoken out about the free pass he gave a young George W. Bush. He says he's "ashamed" that he got Bush and other rich Texas sons into the Guard so they could avoid serving in Vietnam. Barnes was Speaker of the House in Texas when Bush joined the guard in 1968.
